Cosmos

Cosmos represent order, harmony, and balance. As we go into our busy season, we have to focus on these three factors to avoid burnout. Especially to be able to make it to October and give our couples our typical amazing, fresh selves. LA wedding planner, Margaux Fraise of Harmony Creative and the Wedding Summit Series, will be speaking about bridging the gap between inspiration and reality when designing + executing events as well as working with today's discerning couples.

The Sustainable Club founders, Emma, Sheilan, and Kim will join us to answer all our questions about sustainability within the wedding industry! They will focus on how to balance adding sustainable practices into ones business model and figuring out what makes sense for everyone individually and without judgement.

Local and destination wedding and event planner, Liz McKellar, with The Nouveau Romantics will be joining us to help answer our burning questions about the planner + vendor relationship. Bring ALL the questions to get them answered!

Our 2nd workshop designer is Whitney Schedeler of The Story Of. She will be speaking on all things freelancers - “Freeing yourself and your team to execute with clear expectations”. In the afternoon she will be leading the group on a sustainable arch design - we all will learn so much!

Join us for a special day at Gather Mountain Blooms in Colorado Springs.

Margaux Fraise, Harmony Creative Studio & Wedding Summit Series

Margaux founded Harmony Creative Studio in 2011 in Los Angeles, CA with the goal of bringing a sense of peace and cohesion to the often-chaotic wedding industry. Twelve years and 180+ weddings later, Margaux’s reputation and portfolio speak for themselves. She easily mixes a type-A, get-things-done personality with a calm demeanor that puts everyone from other vendors to parents and wedding parties at ease.

As a former retail consultant, Margaux brings unparalleled experience to the events industry. She understands how people instinctively move through a space and respond to signs, prompts, and decor. Language, color, and even shapes can affect how you perceive design.

Margaux is also a trusted speaker + educator in the Wedding Industry, coaching and speaking to wedding pros all over the world. She hosts the premier online event for wedding professionals, The Wedding Summit Series. As a result, her clients benefit from her vast vendor community + knowledge base.

The Sustainable Florist Club

The Sustainable Florist Club was founded by Emma Van Vranken (Emma Lea Floral), Sheilan Mueller (Yarrow & Spruce), and Kim Zimmerman (Rowdy Poppy). Each of us is deeply passionate about sustainability and have shaped our businesses with those ideals. This passion brougth us together and has inspired us to help others incorporate sustainable practices into their own businesses.

Our mission: To foster a safe and inclusive community for florists centered around conversation, collaboration, and support, to nurture a culture of sustainability.

Liz, The Nouveau Romantics

An architect-turned-wedding-planner with a love for bold design, deeply personal celebrations, and turning complex logistics into seamless experiences.

I see weddings differently. They aren’t just events; they’re stories brought to life—through spaces, details, and the energy of the people at the center of it all. With over a decade of experience designing luxury destination weddings, I’ve learned that the magic isn’t just in the execution—it’s in the way every element fits together to create something greater than the sum of its parts.

I live for big ideas and even bigger transformations—whether that means building a wedding from the ground up on a private property or turning a historic estate into a one-of-a-kind celebration space. I believe in giving couples permission to dream bigger—and then making it all happen with confidence and ease.

Whitney, The Story Of

Whitney is a floral designer and creative director with a soft spot for thoughtful details, natural texture, and creating spaces that feel as good as they look. Her work is rooted in a balance of intuition and intention—elevated, but never overdone.

She runs a boutique floral studio, The Story Of, where she’s learned in real time what it takes to build a business that’s both creative and sustainable. That’s included working with freelancers, hiring the right people, and shaping team dynamics that feel supportive instead of stressful. With experience as both a business owner and a freelance designer, she can speak to what works for teams of all sizes.

Whitney speaks openly about the behind-the-scenes side of the floral industry—sharing an honest, experience-based approach to building harmonious teams, freelancing with professionalism, and creating working relationships that are not only effective, but genuinely enjoyable.
